MoneyGram Haas F1 Team and charity partner Starlight Children’s Foundation has revealed its latest collaboration aimed to increase patient privacy and comfort while easing anxiety – an updated Starlight gown designed to look and feel like a T-shirt.

As the first collaborator on the pilot program with Starlight, the VF-25 proudly adorns the latest iteration of the Starlight Hospital Gown program, including the iconic Starlight shooting star and Gene Haas Foundation logo, whose donation funded the project. The new hospital gown combines the functionality of a traditional Starlight Gown with the familiarity of a classic T-shirt, offering comfort and accessibility while creating a sense of normalcy for kids in hospitals. This updated Starlight hospital gown is specifically designed to enhance the overall patient experience by making dressing easier for individuals with disabilities, limited mobility, or those recovering from surgery.

The non-profit organization was formed with a mission to deliver happiness to hospitalized children and their families, working with over 800 children’s hospitals across America. Since its inception, the charity has positively impacted over 21 million children and continues to work tirelessly to bring joy and comfort to those receiving treatment.

To deliver the very first gowns, Courtney Crone – MoneyGram Haas F1 Team driver with ART Grand Prix in the F1 Academy Series – visited children and their families at Holtz Children’s Hospital in Miami. MoneyGram Haas F1 Team’s collaboration with Starlight Children’s Foundation dates back to 2022, with drivers visiting hospitals in North Carolina, Miami and Texas, as well as hosting families at track for an unforgettable experience during difficult times.

“It was incredible to meet these kids and their families at Holtz Children Hospital, and what inspirations they are,” shared Courtney Crone, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team driver in F1 Academy. “Being able to take the time to chat, play and deliver these new gowns was super fun and seeing the difference they make was great. Starlight Children’s Foundation is doing incredible work to provide care and go the extra mile to deliver happiness.”

“The new Starlight Hospital Gown pilot is an excellent example of the innovative programming that Starlight can provide hospitals across the country, thanks to partners like Moneygram Haas F1 team,” said Starlight CEO, Adam Garone. “We're incredibly grateful for their continued support in helping us advance our mission of delivering happiness to hospitalized kids and their families. This new extension of the Starlight Hospital Gown will further help pediatric patients find comfort and autonomy throughout their medical journeys while helping improve patient compliance.”

“The Gene Haas Foundation is funded in its entirety by Gene Haas and very near to his heart are the programs that support children,” added a representative from the Gene Haas Foundation. “We are pleased to be able to partner in this program. With compassion and care at the heart of our mission, we hope these gowns bring joy and dignity to these young patients during their illness.”
