Jack Doohan

Jack Doohan joins the TGR Haas F1 Team in 2026 as Reserve Driver, bringing with him a decade of competitive experience as the team prepares for Formula 1's new era.

Doohan’s racing journey began in 2011 when he first stepped into a kart. By 2012, he was already demonstrating rapid progress, finishing third in the Victorian Kart Championship. His development continued in 2023 with a strong fourth-place finish at the SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas, one of the most competitive karting events in the world.

He captured his first major titles in 2014, winning both the CIK Stars of Karting Series and the Queensland Kart Championship. These victories marked him out as a rising talent in the Australian karting scene. Doohan strengthened his reputation by winning the Australian Kart Championship in the Junior KA100 class in 2015, before repeating the feat in 2016 in the elite KA2 category.

His success on home soil was matched internationally. In 2017, he concluded the CIK‑FIA European Championship (OK Junior) in third, including a victory at the Swedish round, firmly establishing himself as a leading junior talent.

Doohan transitioned into single-seater racing in 2018 and immediately impressed. He finished fifth overall and took the top rookie honors with three wins and 12 podiums in the highly competitive British F4 Championship. He also gained further experience with partial campaigns in ADAC Formula 4 and Italian F4.

His progression continued in 2019 with a standout season in the F3 Asian Championship with Hitech Grand Prix, securing five wins and three podiums to finish second overall. He also competed in Euroformula Open, where he earned two podium finishes.

In 2020, he returned to the F3 Asian Championship and narrowly missed out on the title, taking six wins and ten podiums across the 15-race season. Alongside this, he made his FIA Formula 3 debut with HWA Racelab.

His breakthrough year came in 2021 after switching to Trident for his second FIA Formula 3 campaign. He delivered four victories and seven podiums, finishing the season as vice champion and helping Trident secure the Teams’ Championship. He also made his FIA Formula 2 debut with MP Motorsport in the final three rounds, achieving a top five finish in Saudi Arabia.

He stepped up to a full-time FIA Formula 2 campaign with Virtuosi Racing in 2022, finishing the season in sixth overall. His performance earned him a place in the Alpine Driver Development Program, where he made his FP1 debut in Mexico City and later appeared again in Abu Dhabi.

Continuing with Invicta Virtuosi Racing in 2023, Doohan climbed to third in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with three wins and two additional podiums. He also served as Reserve Driver for the BWT Alpine F1 Team, adding further FP1 appearances to his growing Formula 1 résumé.

Doohan made his Formula 1 debut at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix before competing in the opening six rounds of the 2025 season. Following a driver reshuffle after the Miami Grand Prix, he returned to his reserve duties.

In February 2026, it was announced that Doohan would join TGR Haas F1 Team as Official Reserve Driver, bolstering the team’s line-up in preparation of the new season and the sport’s new era of regulations.
