Free event welcomes all to meet the team and get up close to pinnacle of motorsport.

Ahead of TGR Haas F1 Team travelling just over 200 kilometres from its Italian HQ in Maranello to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, for the Italian Grand Prix (September 3-6), the team will bring various personnel to its closest town of Ferrara to meet and engage with the next generation of engineers.

In collaboration with the Municipality of Ferrara, TGR Haas F1 Team Head of Aerodynamics, Davide Paganelli, will speak alongside Matteo Fornasini, Councillor for Budget, Accounting, Taxation, Publicly-Owned Companies, Tourism, Territorial Promotion and Agriculture, to discuss the importance of the local communities’ impact on the motorsport industry. The team, which has 140 staff based in Italy, will provide tutorials and meet and greet sessions for local universities and organisations keen to learn more about future STEM career paths in the pinnacle of motorsport.

Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the technical and professional profiles most valued by the team, understand which competencies are essential for building a successful career in motorsport, and receive advice directly from industry specialists. For those who dream of turning their passion into a profession, the event will also provide an important opportunity to submit a speculative application and establish direct contact with recruiters and department leaders.

“This event represents a unique opportunity to get closer to the world of Formula 1 and gain an inside look at how the TGR Haas F1 Team operates,” shared Davide Paganelli, Head of Aerodynamics at TGR Haas F1 Team. “In Ferrara, university students, recent graduates, young professionals, motorsport enthusiasts, and anyone curious about the pinnacle of motorsport will have the chance to experience the inner workings of one of the most fascinating and technologically advanced environments in the world.

“Participants will meet the specialists who contribute every day to the development of a Formula 1 race car and gain insight into the skills, working methods, and challenges that define a modern Formula 1 team. Through presentations, discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees will explore the entire process that takes a Formula 1 car from initial concept and design, through to production and trackside operation. They will gain an understanding of the role played by the various departments involved, including aerodynamics, mechanical design, simulation, manufacturing, and race operations.

“The event has been created with the objective of building a strong connection between academia and industry, offering students an overview of the most sought-after skills and the career opportunities available within a global Formula 1 team. It will be an unmissable event for anyone who wants to discover what happens behind the scenes of Formula 1 and build a future within one of the most technologically advanced, innovative, and inspiring environments in the world.”

“We're very pleased to welcome to Ferrara an initiative that brings an international organisation such as Haas and the world of Formula 1 into the heart of our city," added Councillor Matteo Fornasini. “Events such as this help enrich the city's offering and represent a further opportunity to make Ferrara attractive to new audiences, starting with younger generations. Ferrara is increasingly demonstrating its ability to complement its extraordinary historical and artistic heritage with contemporary initiatives capable of speaking different languages and engaging a wide range of interests and passions. The connection with the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, together with the opportunity to gain a close-up understanding of the technologies, professional expertise and skills behind a Formula 1 team, further enhances the appeal of an event that we are delighted to support as a Municipal Administration. On behalf of the Municipality, I would like to thank the organisers for choosing our city to host this wonderful event, which I hope will inspire curiosity and enthusiasm among many motorsport fans and visitors alike.”
